Guest Columnists - An Irony

I haven’t got a problem with any of our ‘misfits’ being placed behind bars, in fact, ‘bring back the death sentence!’

However, maybe if the government was serious about banning ‘killing’ generally (rather than just the occasional isolated incident), and are able to see that over 290,000 people a year are either killed or seriously injured on British roads, or that millions of people have died through war, they might ban cars and even the military?

Alternatively, if Thomas Roe killed someone with a cricket stump or a walking stick, would they have banned cricket and old people? God knows what would have happened if he had used a real ‘ready available’ £3.99 carving knife from Asda (even cheaper than a ‘reproduction Samurai sword’, and a lot sharper)! No more Ainsley Harriott, he’d be locked up for showing them in public and on TV (mind you, I haven’t got a problem with that one being behind bars either (along with Gordon Ramsey and Jamie Oliver!)). So maybe, on reflection, we should ban carving knives and cookery shows! Gary Swift ... Me, a cynic?
