The International Hall is large enough to comfortably stage 4 tatami and 6 if needed. Seating is tiered on one side of the venue and the seats are made of moulded plastic with optional armrests.
Viewing is excellent and there is also a balcony view overlooking the area with large enough space to comfortably accommodate stalls, a walk way, area for staging and a podium.
This hall was hired to stage the prestigious 1st EKF English National Senior and Junior Karate Championships that were held over the weekend of 5th & 6th April 2008.
Karatesite attended this event on the 5th April.
Six tatami were running and although slightly cramped the EKF succeeded in having a very successful opening Championships.
We found that the toilet facilities and changing rooms were well stocked and plentiful and were kept in immaculate condition throughout the entire day.
Karatesite did not visit the cafe but found plenty of reasonably priced vending machines.
Adidas and DE Photos were both in attendance at this event.
The personal address system was clear and the announcements were clearly audible.
All staff encountered on this visit were friendly and helpful.
